About TFI Tuesdays

Thank you for visiting the State Support Team Region 5’s TFI Tuesdays, where we hope to provide tidbits of information as they align to the features of the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) to help our teams implement PBIS. The intention of these short episodes is to provide a consistent message that can be used to guide PBIS teams across our region on the critical features of the PBIS framework. SSTR5 Office Hours

In order to provide deeper technical assistance and give PBIS teams/leads the opportunity to receive specific support on their own identified needs, SSTR5 will be utilizing the flipped classroom strategy for our office hours. Participants will engage with specific assigned content and resources prior to our virtual session(s) and will be encouraged to come with questions and ideas regarding how the information will be transferred to their school.

Building Partnerships through PBIS

This virtual course is designed to enhance the school/district’s family community capacity and awareness as it relates to their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Action Plan. The lessons contained within this course are aimed at strengthening the understanding of PBIS for families and communities and creating a stronger partnership between school and home. The course can be completed as a shared learning experience or independently.

Learning Management System - PBIS: It Takes a Whole Building

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports: It Takes the Whole Building. (This video series provides information and discussion on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as a decision-making framework that takes the entire school/district to implement to meet the needs of the whole child and the family.

Through interviews with Ohio educators, this course showcases best practices and community partnerships that support PBIS implementation. Interviews include success stories and challenges Ohio’s educators experienced with the Tiered Fidelity Inventory, data-based decision-making, and supporting the whole child through PBIS implementation.

This self-paced course is available on demand through the Learning Management System, which is accessible to licensed educators through the OH|ID portal.

Positive Behaviors Intervention and Supports for Families

Families are important members of the school communities. When schools and families work together toward their common goal of helping all children to be successful, it is much more likely to happen. Families have valuable insights and information about how their children learn best and what types of environmental supports are helpful to them.
