Summary of Performance

• Hard to believe but it is that time of the year. Remember a Summary of Performance is required, by IDEA, for ALL students exiting high school (graduation or aging out). The SOP can be a valuable tool for students as they transition into the next phase of their life. It can provide them with information to help them understand their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies they can use to help improve their outcomes. Below is the Universal Support Material video that covers the SOP as well as the PowerPoint and transcript. The OP-8 SOP form is also linked. Be sure to check out page 2 for some helpful information when completing the SOP. One more note, the SOP is an excellent opportunity to have students practice some self-determination.

Indicator 14 Check In 

• As you all know, the way data is collected for indicator 14 has changed. Remember each year, every district will have to survey every exiting student with or without a disability to determine if they are “engaged”. Hopefully, you have built your survey and have identified who will be following up with your students. Below are some resources to help with the Indicator 14 requirement. Remember the deadline is August 4, 2023.
