Job Shadow Opportunities at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources

• How do our students know what careers exist? Career exploration is a great strategy for all students. It helps them identify aspects of jobs that they like and do not like. They are able to match their interests and skills to these aspects. This is a great opportunity for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Students can apply to shadow different jobs within this agency. Hurry to identify those juniors and seniors who may be interested in this because the deadline is November 17. 

Connected Career Rounds

• Another great opportunity to explore careers. This one is from Cleveland Clinic. They will host live and recorded sessions where different people from different jobs within their system will present key facts about their jobs. Some topics include pay, job outlook, requirements, and much more. This is a great way to have students explore different jobs within the medical field. Also, take some time to click around on the site as they have many more resources that can be used to explore careers. 

Drive Ohio Educator Toolkit 

• As we all have seen, the car industry is changing and there are different jobs that are available from this change. Our students will be able to take advantage of this change as the job market for these positions continues to grow. This resource has all the materials needed to build our students' knowledge of this new field and all the possibilities that exist. There is a curriculum, career connections, information on grants, and much more.
