Please take some time to take a look at them as they give schools a lot of options of industry credentials that can be incorporated into your programs.

• This is a cool short resource to help us make small changes in transition planning. As with everything we do in education, we are always looking for ways to improve our work. This lists the common errors programs make in their transition planning. Not only is it a great checklist of what not to do you can also use this to pick your focus area as we mentioned at the beginning of the year. What 1 area from this list will you work to improve this year?

• Community engagement is a focus of so many schools. For our students with disabilities, it is not only a focus but a great way to build relationships and social networks, sharpen workplace social skills, and learn work skills. This whole resource is great but page 5 starts a really awesome chart that gives us ideas of how we can engage our community in different stages of transition planning. There are also multiple “case studies” demonstrating community engagement.
