Youth Voice Toolkit
Wow! What a resource. As we begin to learn more about the importance of person centered transition planning, it is hard to imagine being successful at it without encouraging Youth Voice. Even more important as we design our educational programs for all students it is important to understand the importance of youth voice and begin to explore tools to empower youth voice in all we do. This toolkit is packed with resources, almost too many for one tidbit. The toolkit defines youth voice, discusses all the settings youth voice can occur in, and so much more. As you continue to scroll down the page eventually you will get to the table of contents with all active links. Take some time to work through this toolkit and maybe only focus on one topic right now to focus on for the rest of the year. Then in the fall maybe take a look at another area to focus on. Remember if you try to do to much at one time, it will be hard to truly implement and monitor your changes. Start small to have lasting impact.
