Transition Tidbits May 2, 2022

Hi everyone

Just one resource to share this week. This is a huge resource and has so many categories that it will take some time to get through. Also, because there are so many categories, it really can fit into any place in the Taxonomy of Transition Programming. Please take a minute to check out the 2 upcoming events at the bottom as well.

School Wellness Toolkits

This is a huge resource that can address a wide range of issues in schools. Please take some time to find a resource that can address your needs.

Upcoming Events

In-Demand Jobs Week

May 5 10:30-11:30

ODE is inviting educators to attend a celebration of In-Demand Jobs Week. This year, the Department will highlight careers in the automotive and technology industries through two student-led virtual tours of Reineke Family Dealerships and American Electric Power. The tour will explore these growing, in-demand careers and the employer-driven initiatives to train and hire high school students with the necessary skill sets.

Transition Planning for the Whole Person

May 23 2:30

Another great webinar in the Journey series from OCALI. Transitioning to adult life requires planning for more than just postsecondary education and employment. All life domains need to be considered when developing the vision and support plan for a student’s desired adult life. DODD managers will discuss how Charting the Lifecourse can be a great tool to examine all aspects of a student’s life.
